Good Questions
Show times, tickets, age policies, parking and everything else people ask us at the door.
Shows & Tickets
What time is the show?
Check our events calendar for the show time. The time listed is for doors. Most shows start about an hour after doors, but please check the specific show’s info.
Do I need a ticket? How do I buy one?
Not every show is ticketed, but a lot are. Find your show on our events calendar and hit Buy Tickets — tickets are sold right here on the site. If a show has no ticket link, it’s a free show.
Are the shows always 21 and up?
Our live music shows are primarily 21+, though select events are listed as “18+” or “All Ages.” Please check the event listing for the show you’re planning to attend to see that show’s requirements.
Can I bring a lawn chair to the show?
Unfortunately we don’t allow outside chairs. Some shows are general admission standing room and will be listed as such. We have a limited number of tables and chairs in the room for select shows, and some shows have VIP tables available for purchase.
We are committed to making our venue accessible to all patrons. Our facility meets all Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, including accessible entrances and restrooms. Reserved tables are an upgrade subject to availability. If you have specific accessibility needs or requests, please don’t hesitate to contact us in advance of your visit, or alert one of our staff members, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
How do I get my band to play at Tuffy’s Music Box?
Please fill out our gig booking form and tell us about your act.
Events & Private Parties
Can I bring a group in for a party?
Yep, we love to party — invite them all in! If your group is over 20 guests, we ask that you reach out about planning a private event so you have enough space and staff for the party. Please fill out an event inquiry form and someone from our team will be in touch.
Do you have space for private events?
Yes we do. Tuffy’s Music Box is perfect for anything from corporate events to wedding receptions. Please fill out an event inquiry form and someone from our team will be in touch.
General
Are dogs allowed?
We allow well-behaved dogs that remain leashed. We prefer all dogs to be outside — dogs are not allowed inside the Music Box.
Are children or minors allowed?
Children and anyone under 21 can hang out until 8PM at Tuffy’s, but need to be supervised and accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
Ticketed shows are listed as 21+, 18+, or All Ages. If you’re attending a show, have purchased a ticket, and are the appropriate age for the event, you’re allowed to stay on site.
What happens if I leave my tab open and forget to close it out?
We know you’re having a good time and sometimes forget to close out. We’ll run the credit card at the end of the night and add a 20% auto-gratuity to anything left open past closing time.
What’s going on this weekend?
Take a look at our events calendar to see what’s going on this weekend and beyond. Follow us on Instagram (opens in a new tab) and Facebook (opens in a new tab) to stay in the know about everything happening at Tuffy’s.
Where do I park?
There is ample free parking directly outside Tuffy’s along S. Myrtle Ave and 2nd Street, plus free parking throughout downtown Sanford. Please be courteous of any towing signs, neighboring residents, and businesses.
